Communication Access in Health Services
People with communication difficulties often don’t have access to the information, tools, and accommodations they need. This can create barriers to health care and wellness settings, leading to frustration and poorer health outcomes.
Our latest Special Collection combines peer-reviewed research from ASHA’s journals as well as articles, blog posts, and podcasts from industry experts in The ASHA Leader. Presentations, evidence maps, and more provide you with resources to help the individuals you work with communicate and succeed.
Postsecondary Transition
As a school-based practitioner, you have a unique responsibility to help older students plan for postsecondary transition. Our special collection on this topic contains resources to ensure that students with autism, hearing loss, and other communication disorders are ready for their future in the workplace.
Alongside articles, you can also find policy documents, evidence maps, and other resources that you can use during transition planning. You can also keep up with your ASHA continuing education units (CEUs) while you learn more about the individualized education program (IEP) process through the various ASHA Continuing Education courses highlighted in the collection.
