JSLHR– Registered Reports on the Validation of Clinical Tools Developed with AI

Editor(s): Julie Liss and Ryan McCreery
Contact Info: journals@asha.org
Publication Date: Rolling Publication

Senior Editors for the Journal of Speech, Language, and Hearing Research (JSLHR) invite inventors to submit their validation studies of clinical tools developed with artificial Intelligence (AI) as Registered Reports. Consistent with the mission of JSLHR, we seek to publish original, important, and innovative research for audiologists or speech-language pathologists. Positive validation results in such a Registered Report format could provide a competitive edge for the clinical tools developed, while also improving the transparency, rigor, and reproducibility of the supporting research.

Submission deadline: Manuscripts should be submitted by April 15, 2027  (early submissions are strongly encouraged). Authors are strongly encouraged to submit an initial proposal prior to submitting their stage 1 registered report.

Submission Instructions: To submit to JSLHR, go to http://www.editorialmanager.com/JSLHR. For “Article Type,” please select “Registered Report Stage 1” from the drop-down list provided.

Additional information about Registered Reports and the submission process is available on the ASHA Journals Academy
