Featuring 13 articles stemming from research presented at the 45th Clinical Aphasiology Conference (CAC), this special issue of the American Journal of Speech-Language Pathology is now in its 5th year of publication with ASHA. Previously issued as a supplement in AJSLP, this year’s edition marks the first in which the research has been issued as a standalone special issue.

Showcasing a wide range of current issues in rehabilitation, the peer-reviewed papers from the 45th CAC explore important clinical management and research questions related to the assessment and treatment of communication impairments associated with aphasia and apraxia of speech. These valuable additions to the literature help to advance the evidence base of the discipline.

In partnership with CAC, the research contained within the special issue of the American Journal of Speech-Language Pathology will be available as a self-study ASHA Reader publication eligible for continuing education credit beginning February 2017.  Visit the ASHA CEU Courses section for more information.
